Level 5
Also known as skimming, this is the highest standard of plastering finishing, designed to achieve an ultra-smooth, uniform surface ready for paint. This premium finish is recommended where critical lighting, large open areas, or gloss and semi-gloss paints are specified, as it minimises the visibility of joints, fasteners, and surface imperfections.
The process includes a full Level 4 finish, followed by a thin skim coat applied across the entire surface. The walls and ceilings are then carefully sanded and refined to create a consistent, seamless appearance.
